On Wednesday, September 9, a man from Salt Lake City died in a single vehicle accident.
According to the Washington State Patrol the accident happened on the southbound Interstate 405, just south of 70th Street at the Northeast 70th Place exit, when 36 year old Kyle David Sire lost control of his vehicle in a construction zone. He left the roadway and traveled along the shoulder then hit a temporary barrier and the vehicle rolled over coming to a standstill on the guard rail. As he was not wearing a seat belt he was ejected from his vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene.
According to witnesses he had been driving erratically before the single vehicle crash and the police are awaiting results of the autopsy and toxicology to determine whether he was suffering from a medical condition or if drugs or alcohol were a factor in the collision.
