On Thursday afternoon, December 4, a man was fatally injured in a single vehicle collision with a concrete barrier.
According to the Utah Highway Patrol, 25 year old Keiffer G. Carter of Cottonwood Heights was driving northbound on I 215 East when is seems he took the I 80 eastbound on ramp.S However, his car went off the ramp, up the embankment and hit a cement wall which was separating 1 80 westbound from the I 215 East southbound ramp.
Carter was not wearing a seat belt and according to the authorities it appears he made no corrections to try and avoid the crash. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The crash is still under investigation and it is not yet know if alcohol or drugs were a factor in the accident.
